Pricing

A free tier that's the full product, hard-capped so it can never silently start billing. Zero egress fees at every scale. And capacity priced the way we buy it: by throughput, never by the byte.

Evaluate with a real workload

The free tier isn't a demo — it's the full CDN with every feature enabled, capped by volume. Custom domains, automatic SSL, image optimization, purging, and analytics are all included.

Without a card on file, exceeding the cap pauses delivery rather than charging you — there's no way to accidentally run up a bill. With one, pay-as-you-go takes over seamlessly.

Beyond the free tier

$0.25 per million requests

With a card on file, pay-as-you-go keeps you serving past 500k requests automatically, and your sustained throughput line rises to 100 Mbps. Overage bills hourly from your prepaid balance — add an optional monthly cap if you want a hard ceiling — and delivery pauses when the headroom is spent, never a surprise bill. Egress stays free.

Capacity, not bandwidth

Most CDN bills are mostly bandwidth. Ours never will be, because bytes aren't what cost us money — the capacity to serve your busiest moment is. So that's what we include, and at scale, that's what you buy.

Every plan includes a sustained throughput line. Stay under it and delivery is unlimited — a terabyte or a petabyte, it's the same price: nothing. Need more? Reserve capacity in Gbps, guaranteed and unmetered, for a flat monthly fee. That's the whole model.

Included with every plan

From 25 Mbps on the free tier to 5 Gbps on Enterprise, measured at the 95th percentile so launches and spikes don't count. Almost every site lives here and never thinks about it.

Reserved capacity

Buy throughput like you'd buy a server: in 500 Mbps steps, month to month, from the console or the API. Reserved capacity is guaranteed. Deliver as much as it carries.

Burst or cap — your call

Run up to 2× your line on a best-effort basis at $1 per Gbps-hour above it, or choose Cap mode and hold the line. Alerts at 80% and 100% either way. Free tiers always cap.

Plan Included sustained throughput
Free 25 Mbps
Pay-as-you-go / Hobbyist 100 Mbps
Dev 250 Mbps
Startup 500 Mbps
Scaleup 1 Gbps
Business 2.5 Gbps
Enterprise 5 Gbps
Reserved capacity beyond your line
Up to 20 Gbps $400 per Gbps per month
20 – 100 Gbps $300 per Gbps per month
100 Gbps and above $250 per Gbps per month

Marginal tiers. Sold in 500 Mbps steps, billed monthly from your prepaid balance, raise or lower any time. Reservations above 20 Gbps are available on a 12-month agreement.

Turning TB into Gbps

1 Gbps carries about 650 concurrent viewers at 1.5 Mbps, or up to ~320 TB a month run flat out. Peak throughput is what matters, so take your busiest hour: concurrent viewers × average bitrate, or monthly TB × 3 ÷ 320 as a rough rule for sites with a normal daily cycle.

What would your bill be?

Slide in your traffic — or switch to video mode and start from concurrent viewers. Bandwidth is where CDN bills hide, and where Edge charges nothing.

Paid usage is opt-in: reserve capacity or set a monthly budget on the billing page, billed from prepaid balance.

Still not counted — included free with Edge

Password protection, instant purging, and real-time analytics are part of every Edge deployment, and plan-gated or DIY elsewhere.

Published standard North America / Europe rates for delivery and HTTPS requests. Permanent free allowances are credited (CloudFront's always-free 1 TB and 10M requests/month, Fastly's 100k free image requests); time-limited trials are not. Image optimization uses Fastly's published Image Optimizer tiers and Bunny's $9.50/mo Optimizer; CloudFront has no native product, so its figure estimates the usual DIY route (Lambda resizing on cache misses at AWS's published rates). Flat-plan providers like Cloudflare aren't usage-comparable and are excluded. Edge never meters bandwidth; capacity is priced at the 95th percentile of sustained throughput, with reserved tiers of $400, $300 and $250 per Gbps-month and burst at $1 per Gbps-hour up to 2× your line.

Zero egress. Still the pricing model.

Data transfer out is never metered — at any scale, in any region, for any kind of content. Video included.

Same price everywhere

No regional bandwidth tiers or premium routes. Traffic served from São Paulo costs the same as traffic served from London: nothing.

Hard caps by default

Free tiers pause at their limits instead of billing. The only way to spend money is to explicitly set a budget or reserve capacity first.

Cheaper as you grow

Reserved capacity steps down from $400 to $250 per Gbps as you scale, and Enterprise from $499/month adds 5 Gbps included, volume request pricing, a 99.99% SLA and an account manager.

Pricing FAQ

Everything you need to know about how CDN billing works.

Is the free tier really free?

Yes. A card on file is required (it's how we keep abuse out), but the free tier itself never charges. It's sized to evaluate the CDN with a real workload — 3 deployments, 500k requests a month and 25 Mbps of sustained throughput.

Are there really no egress fees?

Really. We never meter bytes, at any volume, in any region. Bandwidth isn't a line item because it isn't what costs us money — the capacity to serve your peak is. So every plan includes a sustained throughput line, and if you need more than that you reserve capacity in Gbps. Within your capacity, delivery is unlimited.

What's the difference between bandwidth and throughput?

Bandwidth is how much you deliver in a month (TB). Throughput is how fast you deliver it at any moment (Mbps or Gbps). Traditional CDNs bill the first; we include the second, because it's what we actually provision. A 1 Gbps line delivers up to about 320 TB a month if you run it flat out around the clock — and it costs the same whether you use 1 TB or 320.

How is sustained throughput measured?

As the 95th percentile of one-minute averages over a rolling 30 days, summed across every node serving your account. In practice that means the busiest 36 hours of each month are ignored, so a product launch, a viral post or a nightly peak doesn't count against your line — only what you sustain does.

What happens if I exceed my throughput line?

Nothing silent. Paid accounts can burst to twice their line on a best-effort basis, billed at $1 per Gbps-hour above it from your prepaid balance — or you can switch to Cap mode and have new sessions queued at the line instead. Either way you'll get an alert at 80% and 100%, and you can raise your reservation from the console or the API at any time. Free-tier accounts are always capped.

What happens if I exceed the free tier's requests?

With a card on file, pay-as-you-go keeps you serving at $0.25 per million requests — billed from your prepaid balance (with an optional monthly cap), pausing again only if the headroom runs out. Prefer a hard stop? Turn paid usage off on the billing page and exceeding the cap pauses delivery instead of billing.

Is this suitable for video streaming?

Yes, and it's priced for it. HLS and DASH segments, progressive MP4 and live manifests are all plain HTTP and cache well. Work out your peak concurrent viewers times your average bitrate — 10,000 viewers at 2 Mbps is 20 Gbps — reserve that, and deliver as many hours as your audience watches with no per-GB charge. The calculator below has a video mode that does the arithmetic for you.

Do I need a plan to use custom domains or SSL?

No. Custom domains, automatic SSL, image optimization, purging, and analytics are all included in the free tier — the free tier is the product, just capped by volume.
